Groovy Tunes DJs™ sets itself apart from other disc jockey services by placing a huge amount of emphasis on planning your reception YOUR way. The input of the bride and groom is so crucial to ensuring that the reception meets all of your needs and provides entertainment for your guests so that they walk away remembering yours as being special. All too often people do not realize how important it is to have an organized DJ who will glue the whole evening together. Sure anyone can play music right? But can just anyone coordinate activities, keep you on a time table, work with other wedding professionals, and step up to the plate and take charge? We offer emcee services, the music ranging from the 50's to today's popular hits, club-style and/or elegant lighting effects, interaction, and most importantly, reception planning.
Our reception planning guide allows you to pick which traditional events you want to include in your evening and which to leave out. Recognizing that everyone has different tastes and requirements, you even get to select the order in which to perform these activities. A reception planning meeting is encouraged in advance of your wedding day and we will do our best to accomodate your schedule. There is no need to worry about our DJ's being loud, offensive, or too interactive or not interactive enough. Speaking of interaction, we can play a variety of fun games like musical trivia, the shoe game, toilet paper races, and provide crowd pleasers such as the Anniversary Dance or Avalanche Dance. Family traditions or cultural events such as Sei Leben Hoch or throwing plates can be accomodated, too. All you have to do is simply ask!
The music can be turned up or down according to your liking and requests are always welcome so long as you want us to honor your guests requests. Professional attire and tuxedos are our preferred appearance for your reception. Your photographer and videographer team is included in our planning, too. We will make sure they are aware of special dances and when they are taking place so they don't miss a single opportunity to capture a moment in time.
