The History of Groovy Tunes DJ's

In 1999, Scott Bradbury, Owner of Groovy Tunes DJ's, asked a friend who did some work as a DJ to provide music and emcee services at his sister's wedding reception.  During the course of the evening, Scott borrowed the microphone a few times, made some toasts, interacted with some guests he hardly knew, and had a great time.  The surprising part is that the guests were having fun along with him!  It was at this wedding reception that Scott's friend asked him to come and work as a DJ.  The offer was accepted.

Initially, Scott worked for his friend under the company name of Blue Island DJ's.  Events were booked mainly by word-of-mouth and personal referrals from past customers.  It wasn't until the summer of 2004 that a major change took place.  The friend who initially made the offer to Scott was moving to Florida and the equipment was moving with him.  Scott performed his last wedding reception on July 3, 2004 and was going to spin his last CD.  Only a couple of months later, Scott decided to change the name, purchase brand new state of the art equipment and launch an advertising campaign that consisted of magazines, newspapers, a web-site, search engine submissions, bridal shows and a variety of published articles and documents.

Nearly a decade later since that first reception, you can find Scott and his team playing the tracks on any given Friday or Saturday evening throughout the local tri-cities and neighboring communities.  Wedding receptions, anniversaries, surprise birthdays, company events, reunions, holiday parties and many other occasions are all events that can be serviced through Groovy Tunes DJ's.
