WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR DAY?
Many Brides are afraid they will come off as a demanding ‘Bridezilla’, if they are demonstrative about their needs. Sure, there are those people that go way over the top but this IS your day afterall. Communicate what you truly want to your hired professionals. Be specific and don’t settle for less than what your heart desires. You may be steered to do something because of tradition, policy or because, “that’s the way we’ve always done it”. Your wedding reception should not be a “cookie cutter” pattern that is done the same as thousands before yours. If it doesn’t feel right, object and let them know what you’d rather have done. True professionals will respect your wishes and at the same time explain pitfalls and perks of your original idea from their past experience. Professionals should also be willing to admit what they have not done or are not able to perform. In the end, it is your decision. One point to remember though, if your idea does not work as planned and your hired professionals did as you requested, then remember that is was YOUR idea.
